About the course
The College of Engineering offers a Master of Science in telecommunications engineering. This graduate program provides advanced education and research to develop breadth of knowledge and depth of expertise in the engineering of telecommunication networks and systems. This University of Nebraska-Lincoln program is housed in Omaha, Nebraska at the Peter Kiewit Institute of Information Science, Technology, and Engineering (PKI) which is approximately 50 minutes from the Lincoln campus. Students, however, may take some of the courses through the electrical engineering and computer science departments on the Lincoln campus. The partnership with PKI provides graduate students unique opportunities for both academic and career exploration. Specialized state-of-the-art laboratories and computer facilities are available including optical, wireless, and telecommunications laboratories, IBM supercomputer facilities, and high speed connections to Internet2 and AccessGrid.
