A written essay ( Statement of Purpose/Reasons for Graduate Study) that clearly describes your reasons for pursuing the degree. Students applying to the General Master's Program: Include previous experiences working with people with disabilities and/or their families, specific areas of interest within the field of special education, faculty members whose research may be of interest, and professional goals.
A writing sample of scholarly work. Include a maximum of 25 pages (Required only for the PhD program)
The GRE is not required.

Pdf copies of transcripts may be submitted for purposes of application to the program. If offered admission to the program, applicants must present official transcripts before admission is finalized.
A current resume or CV outlining your academic, volunteer, teaching, and/or research experiences.
A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a comparable degree from an international institution is required. International applicants must have a degree comparable to a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree.
A minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours (approximately two years of work) or a master’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required. Applicants from an international institution must demonstrate strong academic achievement comparable to a 3.00 for an undergraduate or master’s degree.
The required proficiency scores are: Minimum TOEFL requirement: 92 internet (iBT), 580 paper-based test (PBT), Minimum IELTS requirement: 7.0
