About the course

The Medical Sciences Graduate Program consists of seven member departments in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and offers programs leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Alberta

The Department of Medical Genetics requires a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4 point scale based on equivalent of the most recent two years of coursework (or last 60 course credits). The Committee gives preference to students with a background in science, preferably in the Biological Sciences. Applicants are required to prepare a brief statement indicating their interest in Medical Genetics and preferred area of research.TOEFL (paper based) 600,TOEFL (internet based) 100.
