In response to these demands, the Lawrence Tech mechanical engineering faculty in consultation with industry advisors have developed an interdisciplinary curriculum designed to keep you current with technical advances and improve your communication skills, enhancing your opportunities for success in the workplace. The comprehensive curriculum prepares you for careers in fields such as combustion engines, emissions, energy systems, manufacturing processes and systems, structural analysis, powertrain systems, dynamics, vibrations, thermal sciences and fluid mechanics.

  For your core courses, you can choose to focus on solid mechanics or thermal-fluid systems. You can select electives from multiple areas, or concentrate on-

How to apply

Entry requirements for Lawrence Technological University

A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited (or equivalent) university with a minimum GPA of 3.0

  Official transcripts of all completed college work

  Three letters of recommendation

  A resume, including professional experiences and extracurricular activities

  We require a minimum score of 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, 79 on the internet-based TOEFL, or a 6.5 on the IELTS
