About the course

Distinguished by its mathematically rigorous course content and direct applications to industry, WPI?s Professional MS in Financial Mathematics program will prepare you for a successful career in the financial services industry. Through core financial mathematics courses you?ll build a strong foundation in concepts and processes involved in arbitrage-based pricing of derivative securities and fixed income securities, based on a sound understanding of measure-theoretic probability theory and stochastic processes. You?ll also take advanced courses that give you in-depth knowledge and hands-on practice in computational methods in finance, portfolio management, and market and credit risk modeling.

　　You will complement your studies with courses in financial management, information technology, or computer science, as well as a professional skills development seminar and capstone experience involving a project, practicum, or advanced course. The master?s program in Financial Mathematics requires a minimum of 30 credithours of coursework. How to apply

Entry requirements for Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Any international applicant seeking to attend WPI on an F-1 student Visa must submit official TOEFL scores or IELTS scores. However, if applicants have two years of continuous full-time college study completed within the last five years, in a country whose official language is English, he or she can apply for a TOEFL/IELTS waiver.
