About the course
Our Master of Science in Environmental Studies addresses areas of environmental policy, natural resource science and management, and sustainable development. Students may select a concentration in the regional geology of South Florida, the Caribbean or Latin America, the program emphasizes the cultural and political contexts of environmental issues in the region.

How to apply
Entry requirements for Florida International University
To be admitted into the Master’s Program in Environmental Studies, a student must meet the University’s graduate admission requirements and have: 1. Have a “B” average in upper level work and submit official GRE scores, which every candidate must take. 2. International graduate student applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit a score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A total score of 80 on the iBT TOEFL or 6.5 overall on the IELTS is required. 3. Submit three letters of recommendation, a one-page statement of research interests, and a copy of all transcripts.
