About the course

The electrical engineering program includes specialization to suit the desired needs of students. From these specializations students choose majors and minors for both degree programs. A student may also choose a minor from computer engineering or other engineering areas based on the advice of a faculty member in the ECE department. These specializations are: Communications, Control Theory, Digital Signal Processing, Electromagnetics, Plasma, Antenna Theory, Electronics, VLSI, Optics and Photonics, Opto-electronics, Power Systems, Radar. The ECE Department offers a full range of accredited degree programs in Electrical and Computer Engineering through the Ph.D. level as well as separate Master's Degrees in Software Engineering and Cybersecurity. These programs are designed to not simply train students to be users of current technology but to educate them so they actually understand how this technology works. This allows them to be innovators throughout their lives and become active contributors to the ever-changing technological landscape. Our graduates can be found throughout the world actively impacting industry, government, and academia. Entry requirements for University of Alabama in Huntsville

Transcripts- Send official transcripts to UAH from any university you have previously attended.

  For admission to the Graduate School, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, from an approved institution., All programs except those in the College of Business Administration must have a minimum grade-point average of B (3.0) on the undergraduate record, and Have a minimum total score of 300 on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), Verbal 145, Quantitative 155 and a minimum score of 3.0 on the analytical writing portion.

  For the English, Nursing, and Public Affairs programs, applicants must have a minimum total score of 410 on the MAT., TOEFL or IELTS (Non-Native English Speakers) - TOEFL: 97, conditional (62) OR IELTS: all sub-scores ? 6.0
