The department of Earth and Environmental Sciences offers programs leading to the MS and PhD degrees in Earth Sciences, Environmental and Coastal Sciences. Specific graduate topics for research supported by the department are diverse, reflecting the diversity of the faculty, and include among others, Igneous Petrology, Geophysics, Aquatic Ecology, Geomorphology, Coastal Oceanography, Coastal and Marine Geology, Sedimentology, and Paleontology. Entry requirements for University of New Orleans
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a 4-year degree equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad.
TOEFL iBT - 79, TOEFL PBT - 550, IELTS - 6.5
The main requirements for entering graduate programs in EES are meeting the GRE (300 combined score), GPA criteria (3.0), and finding an EES Faculty member who will agree to be your advisor prior to being accepted into the Department. Non-thesis degrees are not offered.
