About the course

The master of science (MSc) in computing science is a research-intensive program that has a primary emphasis on the MSc thesis. The program provides an environment for education in theoretical and applied computer science. Through training in formal coursework and hands-on research in areas such as artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, computer graphics, and data mining, graduates will be capable of working with integrity to design, improve, and apply cutting-edge computational techniques to support a career in academia, industry or the public sector. How to apply

Entry requirements for Simon Fraser University

To qualify for admission to the Professional Master of Science in Computer Science, a student must satisfy the university admission requirements for a master's program as stated in Section 1.3.3 of the Graduate Admission section of the SFU calendar, and the student must hold a bachelor's degree, or equivalent in computer science or a related field, with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 (on a scale of 0.00 - 4.33) or the equivalent. Alternatively, a minimum GPA of 3.33/4.33 on the last 60 credits of undergraduate courses will also meet the GPA requirements for admission to the program. IELTS overall band score of 7.0 of the academic test with a minimum of 6.5 in each section.Paper-based TOEFL -580 and TWE 5,Internet-based TOEFL 93 with minimum of 20 in each category.
