About the course
A Master of Science in Computer Science gives students a competitive edge in a fast-growing career field with lots of new opportunities. These students work alongside faculty performing research in areas such as cyber security, data analytics, Internet of Things, software engineering, and augmented and virtual reality. Students can select one of the four emphasis areas to focus their coursework to best meet their career goals. This program is available to both full- and part-time students as either a non-thesis or thesis option. Demand is high for graduates with a degree in computer science, and a highly specialized master?s degree only stands to set students apart when applying for jobs in this field.

Entry requirements for University of Missouri - Kansas City
Baccalaureate degree: Computer science or related discipline
Cumulative GPA in all coursework: 3.0 or better
Computer Science GPA: 3.0 or better
Pre-program requirements may be specified in case the bachelor’s degree is in a discipline different to which the candidate is applying.
International Students – A minimum score of 79 on the TOEFL exam or a minimum 6.0 on the IELTS is required for international students without prior U.S. degrees. Students who score below the minimum score may be admitted conditionally.
