About the course

Studying here at LMU allows students an opportunity to experience an interdisciplinary approach to their master's in Computer Science. Students may choose to work with biological databases, 3-D animation, genetic mapping, identity mapping, cubesat programming, artificial intelligence, and virtual world simulations. Located near the dynamic tech-hub of Silicon Beach and the aerospace/defense industry, we continue to build relationships with our neighbors.

　　The program curriculum offers a wide variety of learning options that tackle current trends in technology. How to apply

Entry requirements for Loyola Marymount University

All applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or other ly related fields.

　　Two (2) official transcripts of all schools attended after high school

　　Letter of intent (approximately 1.5 pages)

　　(Optional) Two letters of reference, at least one of which attests to the applicant's previous academic performance and ability to succeed in the program. The other letter can be a professional reference. For applicants who graduated more than 5 years ago, both references may attest to the applicant's professional performance and ability to succeed in the graduate program.

　　(Optional) Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

　　The undergraduate preparation of all applicants, regardless of their previous degrees, should include the following subject areas: Computer Programming (CMSI 185), Data Structures/Algorithms (CMSI 281), Computer Systems Organization (CMSI 284) and at least one of the following: Introduction to Microprocessors (ELEC 384), Operating Systems (CMSI 387), Programming Languages (CMSI 386)

　　Seaver College of Science and Engineering, which require a minimum score of 79 internet-based (IELTS Overall Band Score of 6.5)

　　Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) required for admission is 3.0.

　　Applicants must have a U.S. bachelor's degree or the international equivalent.
