About the course

The Department of Computer Science at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge has become the Division of Computer Science and Engineering within the newly formed School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), which resides in the College of Engineering. The School consists of two divisions (officially recognized units) namely, CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) and ECE (Electrical and Computer Engineering). Each division has separate budgets, independent administrations, and its own Chairperson, who reports to the Dean of Engineering College. This school's divisional model provides each division with an environment to advance within its discipline and at the same time it provides a unique opportunity for interdivisional interactions to promote joint research and educational activities of mutual interest and expertise. The CSE division offers an ABET accredited BS program in Computer Science, offers MS degree program in Computer Science and PhD program in Computer Science.

　　It is the responsibility of the student to read and understand all of the degree requirements for the master?s program. All LSU Graduate School regulations and procedures also apply. Master's degree programs must be completed within five years, but full-time students should be finished in 21 months. Coursework completed at LSU that is more than five years old can be validated by the student?s graduate committee, usually through examination. How to apply

Entry requirements for Louisiana State University - Shorelight

A bachelor's degree from an accredited US institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution (and/or a master?s degree for PhD program). A comprehensive computer science background should include course work on data structures, algorithms, programming languages, and operating systems.
