About the course
Our geosystems engineering program merges geotechnics, geophysics, geomechanics and geology. We focus on the behavior of natural materials in engineered systems, encompassing traditional and emerging topics within the field — like advanced techniques for site and material characterization, constitutive and micromechanical modeling, natural and man-made hazard mitigation, engineered soils, biotechnology, geotechnical aspects of resource recovery, and foundation design, slope stability, and excavation support. Entry requirements for Georgia Institute of Technology
Evidence of award of a bachelor's degree, its equivalent, or higher degree (prior to matriculation) from a regionally accredited institution, demonstrated academic excellence, and evidence of experience in the selected field of graduate study. The required minimum total score on the exams are: The internet-based TOEFL exam = 90, with minimum section scores of 19 or higher on each skill area, The paper-based TOEFL exam = 577, IELTS exam - Overall score minimum of 7, with minimum section scores for reading 6.5, listening 6.5, speaking 6.5 and writing 5.5.
