About the course

Our program educational objectives are reflected in the achievements of our recent alumni.

　　Research and/or Practice: Alumni will successfully engage in research and/or practice of civil engineering within industry, government, and private practice, working toward sustainable solutions in one or more technical specialty including construction, environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources. Alumni will be able to synthesize technical knowledge of engineering analysis and design to identify, formulate and solve problems of professional interest and importance.

　　Professional Growth: Alumni will advance their skills through innovation, professional growth and development activities such as research and doctoral study in engineering, professional registration, and continuing education.

How to apply

Entry requirements for New Jersey Institute of Technology

Applicants are expected to have an undergraduate degree in civil engineering or its equivalent, and must have proficiency in basic sciences and mathematics. Students who lack an appropriate undergraduate background may be granted conditional admission in order to complete a bridge program or its equivalent. A minimum bachelor's GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent, is normally required for admission. The minimum score required is 79 for the Internet-based TOEFL exam, 213 for the computer-based TOEFL exam, or 550 for the paper-based TOEFL exam. A minimum score of 6.5 with no sub-score lower than 6.0 is required for the IELTS exam.
