About the course
The Department of Chemistry offers the Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemistry. The M.S. degree represents from one to two academic years of full-time study beyond an acceptable bachelor's degree. The candidate must complete a program of study approved by his or her major professor, the Department Head, and the Dean of the Graduate School.

How to apply
Entry requirements for Tennessee State University
Each applicant must meet all entrance requirements of the Graduate School and be recommended by the Department?s Graduate Chemistry Curriculum Committee. In addition, each individual entering the program must hold a baccalaureate degree in Chemistry from an accredited College or University. Consideration will also be given to applicants from other fields with strong chemistry backgrounds. A satisfactory GRE score is required.
