About the course

The Department?s chemistry research programs fall into the thematic focus areas of environmental chemistry, green chemistry, chemical sensor development, organic synthesis, materials chemistry, natural products chemistry, and chemical education, all supported by the traditional subdisciplines of chemistry ? analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry, as well as teaching and learning of chemistry. Currently active research projects in the Department focus on advanced chemical analysis, drug discovery, development of photoactive materials including polymers, green chemistry, chemistry of climate change, photophysical chemistry, computational chemistry, and impact of visualization and simulation on chemistry learning. How to apply

Entry requirements for South Dakota State University

A student who has obtained the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree and is planning on pursuing education beyond the Bachelor's degree at the Master's or Doctorate level should apply as a graduate student. (Previous degree students who wish to add an additional undergraduate major should apply as a transfer student.). A professional academic transcript evaluation for degrees earned outside the United States(This requirement cannot be waived unless your highest degree was earned or will be earned in the U.S. prior to enrollment at SDSU). A minimum GPA of 3.0 to receive unconditional admission. TOEFL: Score of 580 paper-based, 92-93 Internet-based. IELTS: 5.5
