About the course

The Master of Science requires a minimum of 32 semester credit hours of approved courses and research. Of those hours, a minimum of 25 credit hours must be formal course work (required courses and electives) and at least one credit hour of CHEN 691: Research needs to be included in the degree plan.

  The Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University is one of the largest, fully accredited programs in the country. The department features a diverse faculty that is committed to excellence in education and to expanding the boundaries of knowledge and understanding of chemical and biological systems through research. The department values high-quality students, evidenced in part by an average SAT score that is higher than the average university score.   While there is no minimum GRE score required, the average quantitative GRE score for students accepted is 165, the average verbal GRE score is 156.

  A one- to two-page essay on why you would like to pursue a graduate degree in chemical engineering at Texas A&M.

  Verification of English proficiency can be achieved by a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, 79-80 internet-based or GRE verbal score of 146.
