About the course

The program is focused on the advanced understanding of the fundamentals of chemical engineering, including thermodynamics, kinetics and transport phenomena. Students are provided additional exposure to the fields of research in the department, including materials and polymer processing, biotechnologies, membrane technologies, pharmaceutical engineering and materials for energy. Graduates will be prepared for leadership roles as chemical engineers or engineering managers supervising both existing and emerging processes in industry. They will also be well equipped for advancing their career in research and development.

How to apply

Entry requirements for New Jersey Institute of Technology

An undergraduate degree in chemical engineering is usually required. Students who do not have a degree in chemical engineering may be considered for admission through the bridge program.

　　A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent, is typically required for admission. All full-time applicants pursuing a degree in the Otto H. York Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering also require a GRE.

　　The minimum score required is 79 for the Internet-based TOEFL exam, 213 for the computer-based TOEFL exam, or 550 for the paper-based TOEFL exam. A minimum score of 6.5 with no sub-score lower than 6.0 is required for the IELTS exam.
