About the course
The Master of Science in Building Construction and Facility Management focuses on management-based STEM education for industry professionals seeking executive leadership positions in the industry. Our signature graduate program offers a holistic approach to business processes: we integrate coursework, seminars, and hands-on learning so that students have the resources they need to excel in building construction careers. Facility Management (FM) is the task of managing a building/facility in an organization or company by integrating process (work), people (workers), and place (workplace). A facility can include a commercial office building, a stadium, a mall, a school, a hospital, an apartment complex, an airport, and any other built environment designed to include numerous occupants and physical assets. At the School of Building Construction, facility management emphasizes holistic and strategic thinking about the built environment throughout a building’s lifecycle. The FM program focuses on successfully integrating all elements of a facility to provide productive and sustainable environments for users and make properties profitable investments for their owners.
