About the course

The master’s degree in atmospheric science provides the student with a comprehensive treatment of the dynamics describing the current and future atmospheric state using theory, observations, and numerical modeling. The curriculum is comprised of a minimum of 24 hours of graduate-level coursework and 6 hours of thesis credit. Students are expected to complete a thesis project as part of the degree requirements. How to apply

Entry requirements for Texas Tech University

International applicants must provide original language documents and English translations. If the documents are not provided in English, an official English translation of all transcripts/ individual semester mark sheets is required. The Office of Graduate Admissions will not accept a public notary certification. If

　　official English translations are not supplied by the applicant's institution(s), the applicant must provide a translation done by an American Translators association-certified translator.

　　If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.

　　Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.

　　The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 (paper-based version) or 79 (internet-based version). The TOEFL score must be received directly from the Educational Testing Service.The minimum IELTS required score is an overall band score of 6.5 on the Academic version.
