About the course

The Department of Animal Science is recognized nationally and internationally for its excellent research, teaching, and extension programs in animal agriculture and animal biology. Our faculty members have received national recognition for the quality of their classroom instruction and attention to student needs and concerns. Students in the Animal Sciences M.S. concentrate on one of the animal sciences emphasis areas: genetics, growth biology, nutrition, physiology, or production systems. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Minnesota - Twin Cities

A baccalaureate degree or its international equivalent in agriculture, biology, or a ly related field. Applicants should have substantial training in chemistry, mathematics, physics, and statistics. A minimum baccalaureate grade point average of 3.0 is generally required for admission to the M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Animal Sciences.

  Three letters of recommendation.

  A personal statement by the applicant describing objectives and goals.

  Unofficial transcripts or academic records should be uploaded directly to the online application. International students should also upload an English translation if the transcript is not in English.
