The master of science, with a thesis, requires a minimum of 32 semester-hours of coursework. The campus/synchronous degree program plan consists of at least 32 semester-credit hours, typically, 20 semester-credit hours will be taken in the department, 3-4 of these hours will be credited for the thesis, and a maximum of 12 semester-credit hours of coursework may be in supporting field(s) of interest. While a majority of the courses must be completed on campus, students enrolled in the master of science – thesis option program are permitted to apply up to 50% of online courses toward the degree program. Students must successfully complete a master’s level thesis to fulfill program requirements.
