About the course
This stream provides you with a comprehensive and practical understanding of health systems and the development of health policies in Australia and elsewhere, affording insight into the function of government departments of health. The focus will be on understanding and designing improvements to the key elements of healthcare delivery, including access to services, quality of health outcomes and cost-effectiveness. Learn to strategise and lead the improvement of healthcare delivery, and be prepared to address system level issues in healthcare delivery, either within government policy departments or through local health system leadership. How to apply
Entry requirements for Monash University
An Australian Master of Philosophy or PhD or doctoral degree or AQF level 9 qualifications (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
OR
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience
AND
Part 1 of a specialist medical training program or current Fellowship of a specialist medical college recognised by the Medical Board of Australia
AND
current registration with AHPRA or equivalent registration approved by the faculty.
IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 Overall (Minimum 6.0 in each component)
TOEFL Internet-based test: 79 Overall score, with minimum scores: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18 and Writing 21
