Develop specialised technical knowledge in sustainability and environmental engineering to help you transition to an engineering career.

　　You?ll learn to analyse and design solutions to pressing global issues including global warming, the energy economy, and sustainable food supplies.

　　This course is for people seeking to make the transition from a science or mathematics-based career to become an engineer, or who already have an engineering degree and would like to change paths to a different specialisation.

How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

　　- an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 65 percent average, or equivalent qualification or

　　- an Australian bachelor's degree in a non-Engineering discipline with a 65 percent average, with studies equivalent to 48 credit points (equivalent to 1 year full time study load) in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geology, computing or statistics, as related to the stream sought for admission.

　　For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution and qualification.

　　IELTS - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

　　TOEFL IBT - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

　　TOEFL PBT - A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
