About the course
The Master of Professional Engineering (Accelerated) is the ideal two-year full-time degree for those engineers who have previously graduated with an undergraduate engineering degree in a related field seeking recognised accreditation to practice in Australia and overseas. Please note that the degree to be conferred will be the Master of Professional Engineering which is accredited by Engineers Australia. The electrical specialisation covers designing and building systems that generate, transmit, measure, control and use electrical energy. This accelerated version of our Master of Professional Engineering degree is designed to provide you with deep technical skills in your chosen field of engineering combined with professional development in the areas of communication, leadership, and time and resource management. It will also help you develop the sound communication, management and decision-making capabilities necessary to interpret and discuss complex issues in your area of specialisation. How to apply
Entry requirements for The University of Sydney
To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:
- an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a 68.5 percent average, or equivalent qualification, in a related field of engineering to which the student is applying.
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution and qualification.
IELTS score A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
Toefl Pbt A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
Toefl ibt A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
