About the course

This course provides an opportunity at master's level for technical specialists and professional engineers who have completed either a three-year Bachelor of Technology or a four-year Bachelor of Engineering to graduate with an Engineers Australia-accredited, professional engineering qualification. The course enables students to deepen knowledge and expertise in their field of specialisation to be ready to practise in engineering. The Master of Professional Engineering is designed to incorporate an integrated approach to professional engineering practice through professional engineering subjects, major-specific subjects, an independent project, and engineering practice stream.

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Technology Sydney

Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.

　　It is a requirement that the bachelor's degree be in engineering, engineering science or technology and relevant to the applicant's proposed major, with no more than 25 per cent of subjects failed.

　　The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0, or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21, or AE5: Pass
