About the course

This graduate-entry masters programme will prepare you for a career in physiotherapy. You?ll develop strong clinical and critical reasoning from evidence-based, research-informed, contemporary and culturally responsive content. Assessment is practice-oriented, using case-based, student-centred and active learning methods. Through a combination of online and face-to-face learning, and clinical placements, you will be well-placed to become a leader of the future for the physiotherapy profession. The programme will be delivered in a case-based, practical-oriented learning and teaching style, emphasizing application of theory to practice, clinical reasoning, and physiotherapy knowledge and skills. Inquiry and project-based, active learning and teaching methods will be used to facilitate critical thinking and independent learning. Academic knowledge will be consolidated during five, five-week clinical practicums placed in District Health Board or private practice clinical settings, under supervision of registered physiotherapists.
