Accounting and Finance takes pride in its association with employers and professional associations and ensures that its courses maintain relevance in a complex business world. Our courses are designed to provide accreditation with the major professional bodies in accounting and finance, including CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). We offer rigorous courses in all the major accounting areas including: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing and Assurance Services and Major Finance areas of Corporate Finance and Investments. How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Newcastle

An applicant for admission to candidature for a Master of Philosophy (Research) shall:

　　i) have satisfied all of the requirements for admission to the degree of Bachelor with Honours Class 1 or Honours Class II, Division 1 or any other degree approved for this purpose by the Assistant Dean (Research Training), or

　　ii) have satisfied all the requirements for admission to a degree of Bachelor in the University or another degree approved for this purpose by the Assistant Dean (Research Training) on the recommendation of the relevant School, or

　　iii) in exceptional cases produce evidence of possessing such other academic or professional qualifications and/or experience as may be approved by the Assistant Dean (Research Training) on the recommendation of the relevant Head of School, or

　　iv) in the disciplines of education, medical physics, nursing, social work, social sciences and surgery have completed a minimum standard of professional experience as required by the Assistant Dean (Research Training) on the recommendation of the School, and

　　IELTS - 6.5 (Minimum 6.0 in Each Component), TOEFL iBT - 79 and TOEFL PBT - 550
