About the course
The objective of the MPharm program is to develop advanced pharmacist practitioners who will serve as medication experts in the provision of health care, educators in the classroom and clinical setting, and researchers contributing to the generation and transfer of knowledge related to the optimal use of medications. Graduates of the MPharm program will have enhanced clinical, research, and teaching skills and will be positioned to become leaders in pharmacy practice. The MPharm in Advanced Pharmacy Practice is a clinical pharmacy program designed to build future leaders by enhancing the clinical, research, and teaching skills of pharmacists. Graduates of the program will be positioned to become Canada?s next leaders of pharmacy departments in hospitals, executive directors of family health teams, educators in pharmacy schools, and more. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Waterloo
Minimum 78% in the final two years of accredited undergraduate Pharmacy degree program (BScPharm, or PharmD) or equivalent overall standing for internationally educated applicants.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Ontario.
It is highly desirable that applicants have completed at least one year of pharmacy practice or an accredited pharmacy residency program prior to entering the MPharm in Advanced Pharmacy Practice program.
An interview may be required.
Two academic or professional references
Proof of English language proficiency, if applicable. TOEFL 90 (writing 25 speaking 25), IELTS 7.0 (writing 6.5, speaking 6.5)
