The Master of Music degree in Music Education ? Graduate Licensure develops advanced competencies in music teaching and provides the means for students holding an undergraduate music degree the opportunity to earn teaching licensure in Nevada.

　　The Master of Music degree at UNLV conforms to the following qualifying prerequisites and guidelines for study set forth by the National Association of Schools of Music:

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Nevada

An overall undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 (or 3.00 in the last two years of undergraduate study).

　　An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.00 in music.

　　Bachelor’s Degree – You must hold a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution, or an approved international equivalent. Factors that may also be considered by the academic department to which you are applying include test scores (like the GRE or GMAT), the type of course work completed during undergraduate studies, letters of recommendation, writing samples or portfolios, and any other supporting documents your department/program may ask you to submit to complete your application.

　　TOEFL (Internet-based) - Minimum score: 80, Paper‐based: Total minimum score 550, (Computer-based) Minimum score - 213. IETLS - Minimum score: 6.5.
