About the course

The Master of Music degree in voice at the UC College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) offers excellent training with the faculty of one of the premiere voice/opera programs in the country. Emphasis is on the development of skills: technical, linguistic, musical, and academic. Fundamentals of good vocal technique are instilled through both art song and operatic repertoire. With increased maturity, more demanding repertoire will be introduced. Singers must learn to perform in a variety of languages, at minimum, English, Italian, German, and French. Grammar study in each of the three foreign languages is a prerequisite for the degree program. Music skills and understanding are developed through participation in operatic productions, choral ensembles, music theory, and music history classes.

Entry requirements for University of Cincinnati

Obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree (3.2 minimum GPA) from an English-speaking university, or a passing score of level 112 at an English Language School (ELS).
