Microbiology is an integral part of the life science and biotechnology disciplines across the North Carolina State University campus. How to apply

Entry requirements for North Carolina State University - Raleigh

IELTS Academic-6.5 or higher (minimum of 6.5 in each sub score)

　　TOEFL IBT-80 or higher (minimum of 18 in each sub score)

　　TOEFL Paper Based-550 or higher.

　　To be considered for admission in full graduate standing, applicants must have:

　　(a) a four-year bachelor?s degree (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university. Exceptions to standard accreditation may be granted for applicants with international degrees, including applicants with three-year degrees from institutions in Europe participating in the Bologna Process.

　　(b) a GPA of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) in their undergraduate degrees.

　　Applicants must have earned a 3.0 undergraduate GPA and completed a Microbiology and a Biochemistry course (grade of B- or better). Applicants have average GRE scores of 156 (Verbal Reasoning) and 153 (Quantitative Reasoning). Applications also include three letters of reference, an official undergraduate transcript, resume and a personal statement of interest.
