About the course
We offer a two-year post-professional MLA for students with prior professional degrees in landscape architecture and a two-year non-professional MSLA/MALA for students interested in careers that would benefit from knowledge of landscape architectural design concepts, design thinking skills and related fields such as ecosystem management or sustainable development. Our post-professional MLA is for students interested in development of skills or who want to develop a particular area of research. This track may also be of interest to professionals who are interested in a mid-career retooling of their skill set with new digital practices, contemporary theoretical paradigms, new material and tectonic strategies and updated ecological models and tactics. Our non-professional MSLA/MALA is for students who want to develop greater knowledge and understanding of landscape-related topics and requires the successful completion of a robust thesis project. Entry requirements for University of Tennessee
A bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university are required. International applicants must have an equivalent four-year degree and 3.00 GPA.
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take and pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Recommended overall TOEFL scores are a minimum of 92.
