About the course
The Master of Land and Property Development (MLPD) is an entrepreneurship-oriented program of study which combines business and finance with physical planning, design and construction. As Texas A&M University's Real Estate Development degree, the program provides students the full range of real estate, financial and management skills they need to succeed in the highly competitive real estate development industry.One of only a handful of Land and Real Estate Development programs in the United States, the program attracts students from practically every academic discipline. The MLPD utilizes a current and comprehensive curriculum, provided by experienced practitioners, to teach how ecologically sensible, socially acceptable, and financially feasible development ventures are created. The Master of Architecture degree program provides graduates with the requisite educational background to enter the professional practice of architecture and its numerous variants. The Master of Architecture degree is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), qualifying its recipients to take a state professional licensing examination after a required internship period. Entry requirements for Texas A and M University - College Station
Admission decisions are based on a variety of criteria including an applicant’s previous academic achievement, work experience, desire to begin/continue a career in real estate or real estate-related field, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and test scores. Real estate development is a multidisciplinary industry. As such, we encourage students and professionals from all types of backgrounds to apply.
A prospective student whose native language is not English may take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. Both exams are offered at locations around the world. Applications for these exams together with additional information about these examinations may be found on their websites, TOEFL information may be obtained at www.ets.org/toefl and IELTS information from www.ielts.org. Currently, the TOEFL is offered in more than 200 locations around the world and the IELTS is offered in more than 400 world-wide venues. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must present a TOEFL score of at least 550 paper-based, 80 Internet-based or an IELTS score of at least 6.0 overall band to be admitted to graduate studies.
