About the course

The Master of Translation and Interpreting will give you the practical, theoretical and academic training you need to work at the heart of cross-cultural communication.Gain practical experience in both written and oral translation between English and Chinese languages. Learn from leading academics with diverse research interests who are also practising translators.   You’ll study alongside peers in intensive small-group classes and undertake autonomous study as you build your capabilities across all aspects of the modern translation and interpreting industries. How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Melbourne

An undergraduate degree in any discipline with at least an H2B (70%) weighted average

  IELTS (academic English Only) - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)

  TOEFL (paper-based test) - 577 and TWE 4.5

  TOEFL (internet-based test) - 79 (Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13)

  The validity of IELTS, TOEFL and Pearson PTE Academic tests has been temporarily extended from two to three years

  The TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition version is temporarily being accepted as equivalent to existing accepted TOEFL tests
