About the course

This program introduces the fundamentals of human-centred design of products and systems, with a focus on interactive technologies and experiences. The Illumination Design specialisation will differentiate your skill set and enable you to work in the emerging area of interactive lighting.

　　This degree is aimed at talented people who are seeking a career in user experience, interaction design, or who wish to use technology creatively for design and commercial purposes.

　　You will learn to design across multiple platforms and scales ? from wearable computing and mobile applications to interactive architecture, responsive environments and urban informatics. Through a series of collaborative design studios and technical workshops, you will acquire the essential knowledge and skills for envisioning, creating and evaluating innovative solutions to a range of design challenges.

　　You can adapt this program to suit your interests by taking electives from other faculties. You will also build a compelling portfolio showcasing not only your design skills but also your understanding of how best to convey the user experience of new products and services.

Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

A successful applicant for admission to the Master of Interaction Design and Electronic Arts will have a bachelor's degree with a credit average.

　　TOEFL-IBT- A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

　　IELTS score-A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
