About the course

The MFA in Illustration provides the skills to develop portfolios with samples in Children?s Book, Editorial, Licensing, Package Illustration, Concept Art, Book Covers, Preliminary Art, Advertising, or Institutional Art portfolios. Both representational and stylistic approaches for print and or web are taught. Students graduate with a portfolio created in a personal style and medium of choice that is market appropriate. How to apply

Entry requirements for Academy of Art University

Provide proof of undergraduate degree by submitting official transcripts from your college/university, one page Statement of Intent, a Personal resume, and a portfolio/demo reel. You may submit your application for admission before taking the test. More information is available online for TOEFL and for IELTS. While we do not require these scores and do not have a minimum score requirement, you will be evaluated for English language proficiency upon arrival at Academy of Art University.
