About the course
The Department of Art offers the Master of Fine Arts degree with emphasis in one of the following areas: ceramics, drawing, graphic design, Digital/Experimental Media (D/X media), painting, printmaking, photography, metalsmithing and jewelry, and sculpture. There are 18 full-time Graduate Faculty members who in addition to teaching, are active in exhibiting, performing client work, engaging in social practice, or publishing. The Department of Art offers a 60-hour graduate program leading to the Master of Fine Arts degree in the fields of ceramics, drawing, graphic design,DX Media painting, printmaking, photography, metalsmithing and jewelry. How to apply
Entry requirements for Kansas State University
To be admitted as a graduate student in the M.F.A. program, the applicant must have a B.A., B.S., or B.F.A. degree from an accredited institution, adequate undergraduate education in the visual arts, an undergraduate average of B (3.0) or better in the last 60 semester credit hours from the last college or university attended.
Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of coursework. This GPA is based only on courses graded on a multi-level scale, usually A, B, C, D, F.
