Entry requirements for Colorado State University
Applicants without a bachelor degree in engineering, such as geology, soil & crop sciences, chemistry, biology, etc. Students who are admitted into the graduate program but who do not have an undergraduate degree in civil engineering must take undergraduate civil engineering course work to bring their engineering background to an acceptable level. Applicants that hold a BS in an engineering discipline that is not Civil Engineering. Those seeking advanced degrees may be recommended for admission to the Graduate School by the department to which the application is submitted if faculty and facilities are available and if all the applicant's undergraduate grades average 3.0 or higher (A = 4.0). International applicants must rank among the top students in their classes. For strongest admission consideration, applicants should have a 3.25 GPA or higher on a scale of A = 4.0. Minimum TOEFL score for admission without condition is 550 (paper based), or 80 (internet based). Minimum IELTS score for admission without condition is 6.5.
