Acquire specialised, technical knowledge in biomedical engineering, developing technology to monitor physiological functions and to assist in diagnosis and treatment of patients.

　　This course is ideal for qualified engineers seeking to move into a management role or to specialise or update their skills.

　　The Master of Engineering (Biomedical Engineering) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will help you develop specialised technical knowledge in biomedical engineering.

　　You will complete core professional engineering units and specialist units in biomedical engineering, in addition to a capstone comprising either a research project or a dissertation.

How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

　　an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or

　　an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent, and five years relevant professional work experience or

　　the relevant University of Sydney Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Engineering with a credit average (65 percent).

　　IELTS score A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

　　Toefl Pbt A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

　　Toefl ibt A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
