About the course
The Master of Divinity degree is designed primarily for students preparing for pastoral ministry, though it also provides preparation for other specialized ministries. The Master of Music degree in church music is a professional graduate degree for those who plan to serve in the music ministry. The degree is designed to develop proficiency in performance, a knowledge of church music (including music history, music theory and conducting), and an understanding of the theological context of church music and the administration of a church music program. How to apply
Entry requirements for Baylor University
Bachelor’s degree in music from an accredited institution
GPA (In general, we require a 2.7 overall and a 3.0 GPA in your major.)
Audition required for majors or concentrations in performance, collaborative piano, and piano pedagogy
GRE required for majors in musicology and music theory
All entering students will take music theory and music history diagnostic exams, appropriate remedial course work may be required.
International applicants: TOEFL (internet-based) score of 80 or equivalent
