About the course

The Master of Construction Management degree is an interdisciplinary program focused on management of construction projects. It includes elective courses in architecture, business, and management. This master's degree is designed mainly for applicants with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering, but students with different undergraduate disciplines can enter the program by taking assigned leveling courses. Advances in construction technologies, financing, and methods underscore the need for a sound and systematic management of construction projects. Organizational structures, business models, and the capability of implementing new technologies into practice necessitate advanced study in construction management. The Master of Construction Management degree provides interdisciplinary studies in commercial, residential, heavy/highway, and industrial applications to address a broad range of challenges facing the construction management field. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Texas - Arlington

A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Applicant with an appropriate Bachelor’s Degree in another discipline is considered, subject to satisfactory completion of deficiency courses for area of interest.) An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, as calculated by the Graduate School, is typical of a successful applicant. The minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL is on the Internet-based test 79 (with sectional scores of 22 writing, 21 speaking, 20 reading, and 16 listening), 550 on the paper-based test and 213 on the computer-based test. The IELTS can be substituted for TOEFL scores. The minimum acceptable overall score of 6.5 is required for admission.
