About the course

Data Science combines the fields of computer science, statistics and applied mathematics, and visualisation and, using automated analysis methods, extracts information and insights from massive quantities of both structured and unstructured data. The specialisation includes courses in areas such as database systems, data mining, document analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

How to apply

Entry requirements for The Australian National University

Applicants must present one of the following

　　A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5.0-7.0

　　A Bachelor degree or international equivalent with a GPA of 4.0-7.0 with at least 3 years of relevant work experience

　　The GPA for a Bachelor program will be calculated from i a completed Bachelor degree using all grades and or ii a completed Bachelor degree using all grades other than those from the last semester or equivalent study period of the Bachelor degree The higher of the two calculations will be used as the basis for admission

　　IELTS - Overall score - 6.5, Reading - 6.0, Writing - 6.0, Listening - 6.0, Speaking - 6.0.

　　TOEFL IBT Paper Edition - Overall score - 80, Reading - 20, Writing - 20, Listening - 18, Speaking - 18.
