About the course
Over 50 percentage of New Zealand ‘s export income is earned by agriculture, agribusiness and other primary production industries. This specialised, industry-based research degree is designed to grow future leaders so that our land-based sector continues to compete successfully in challenging and protected world markets.
Agriculture, agribusiness and the primary production sector are important to both New Zealand’s international success and providing food for a growing world population. Those working and leading in these industries need to combine advanced knowledge with sound practical application and a professional approach. Students of the Master of Commerce (Agriculture) learn to successfully operate a farm business, as well as understand the range of national and international issues that challenge agribusiness managers.
