About the course

Clinical neuropsychologists are specialists who understand the cognitive, emotional and behavioural effects of brain-based conditions such as dementia, stroke, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, autism-spectrum conditions, multiple sclerosis and psychiatric disorders. They provide assessments and treatment recommendations that may employ cognitive, educational, behavioural or psychosocial methods.

  Grounded in theory and practice, the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology will provide you with the knowledge, skills and qualifications you need to work within a range of clinically oriented areas. Upon graduation, you?ll be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Macquarie University

Entry into most postgraduate degrees requires you to have successfully completed a bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution. You may also need to have achieved a specific Weighted Average Mark (WAM) or undertaken work experience. Our admissions team will determine whether your qualifications and prior experience meet the entry requirements and is also likely to satisfy the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement for a Student Visa. Recent APAC accredited AQF level 8 qualification in psychology (with first class or second class honours division one) or recognised equivalent. Attainment of an Academic IELTS or equivalent of 7.0 overall with minimum 7.0 in each band, or equivalent. TOEFL IBT: 100
