About the course

Climate change and climate variability pose risks and opportunities for nearly all human activities and sectors of the economy. There is a great and growing need across businesses, government agencies, media, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions, for professionals who can grasp the sector-relevant aspects of climate science and who can help their organizations exploit the opportunities and respond resiliently to the risks posed by climate variability and climate change.

　　Our programs support students in building a foundation in climate science and the applications on which they can build successful careers in the public, private, or non-profit sectors.

　　The Master?s degree program in Climate Change & Society and the Climate Adaptation graduate certificate programs provide critical skills, knowledge, and expertise in climate science and climate adaptation. How to apply

Entry requirements for North Carolina State University - Raleigh

IELTS Academic-6.5 or higher (minimum of 6.5 in each sub score)

　　TOEFL IBT-International applicants must also have a TOEFL score of 80 or higher

　　TOEFL Paper Based-550 or higher.

　　To be considered for admission in full graduate standing, applicants must have:

　　(a) a four-year bachelor?s degree (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university. Exceptions to standard accreditation may be granted for applicants with international degrees, including applicants with three-year degrees from institutions in Europe participating in the Bologna Process.

　　(b) a GPA of at least 3.00 (on a 4.00 scale) in their undergraduate degrees.

　　The application requires the following supplemental information, most of which can be uploaded in the application system:

　　Statement of Purpose (1500 word maximum)

　　CV/Resume

　　Transcripts from all prior institutions

　　Three letters of recommendation

　　**GRE scores are NOT required
