The Entrepreneurship and Innovation concentration emphasizes concept and application, focusing on the successful formation and management of new ventures. The concentration is designed to equip students with the understanding, skills, and experiences needed to translate ideas into reality and develop an understanding of the commercialization potential of their ideas, inventions, and discoveries. Students will learn how to solve unique problems associated with innovation, think creatively and critically as they acquire and manage financial and human resources required to sustain the effort to develop, launch and grow a new venture. Most prospective graduate business students will take the GMAT or GRE for admissions, although the School of Business does offer GMAT/GRE waivers to highly qualified applicants. This is generally defined as those applicants who meet one of the following criteria:
Acceptable score on the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) entrance exam.
GPA of 3.0 or higher from an AACSB-accredited business program (or GPA of 3.2 or higher from a regionally-accredited university in any major) OR at least three years of relevant professional experience that shows increased responsibility over that period.
Students from non-English speaking countries must take an English Language Proficiency Examination prior to undergraduate and graduate admission, or have a minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 (paper version) or 79 (Web-based test). IELTS- 6.5
