The Master of Bioinformatics is designed for graduates who wish to increase their technical and research skills in core areas of bioinformatics, update their knowledge of recent technologies and methodologies, and obtain practical laboratory and computational skills through immersion in a research laboratory.
You'll select from over 20 courses, allowing you to tailor your studies to suit your interests and career goals.
You'll also have the opportunity to complete an independent research project, which will increase your technical and research skills.

How to apply
Entry requirements for The University of Queensland
An approved equivalent Bachelor degree in Science, IT or Engineering, with an introduction in one or more subjects relevant to the study of bioinformatics, including molecular biology, computer science and statistics, or Graduate Certificate in Bioinformatics. UQ or equivalent GPA of 5 or above on a 7 point scale. IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19. TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading.
