About the course
The Master of Arts (MA) degree provides the student with the knowledge and research experience to pursue the PhD. The MA affords adequate preparation to teach music appreciation, music history and introduction to world music at two-year colleges and to work in music editing and publishing fields. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Georgia
Applicants to all graduate degree programs in music must hold a baccalaureate degree in music from an institution accredited by the proper regional accrediting association
Applicants should have attained a grade point average of 3.0 or better for all undergraduate work and achieved satisfactory scores on the degree-appropriate entrance examinations.
Minimum TOEFL score requirement: overall score of 80 with at least 20 on speaking and writing
Minimum IELTS score requirement: overall band-width of 6.5, with no single band (score) below 6.0.
