About the course
The Department of Journalism offers an MA degree in Mass Communication, which trains students in both analysis of the media as well as the production of media content. Both areas, emphasize media’s role in social change. Our graduate faculty come from around the world and have expertise in areas such as immigration and news, citizen journalism, ethnic media, refugee media practices and visual communication. The graduate program in Mass Communication allows for development of individual professional skills to produce digital media content, and it also focuses on evaluation of media performance, using analytic and research techniques that culminate in a Thesis, Graduate Project or Comprehensive Examination.
